Prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing

Know Your Customer

As a payment institution, the Post – like banks and other financial institutions – is required to apply the Know Your Customer (KYC) principle in accordance with regulatory requirements.

The aim of the KYC principle is to ensure a secure environment and reduce the risk of money laundering and terrorism financing. To meet this obligation, all market participants supervised by the FCMC – including the Post – must obtain information about their customers and the origin of their funds.
