Premium Mailings

Cross-border Premium items are accepted in accordance with postal rules. They shall be subject to all provisions on the packaging and addressing of cross-border consignments, as well as content restrictions and prohibitions.

Transfer

When transferring a Premium consignment, the packaging must ensure the protection of the contents throughout transport and must be safe, without damaging other items or endangering postal workers.

Proper preparation of the consignment

Contents of packages

Industrial, domestic, cultural goods and foodstuffs may be sent in premium parcels if their export from Latvia and importation into the recipient country is not prohibited.

Insurance conditions

Premium items are insured only if the total value of the content to be transferred does not exceed €34.15 for documents or €147.98 for goods. If the value of the consignment exceeds any of these thresholds, it shall not be insured.

Submission of a claim

Claims for delivery of Premium items may be submitted within 4 months of the date of dispatch of the consignment.

Supply restrictions

Note that consignments are not delivered to the overseas territories of the countries.

Maximum size and estimated delivery time of the Premium package

The maximum permissible dimensions of the consignment may vary from country to country. To verify the requirements for a particular destination, look at the list of national conditions. The estimated delivery times for parcels are also indicated.
