It is prohibited to send the following items or substances:
- Narcotic or psychotropic substances;
- Pornographic or erotic materials depicting or describing child sexual abuse (child pornography), sexual acts with animals, necrophilia, or pornographic violence;
- Items or substances that are prohibited for import or circulation in the destination country;
- Items or substances that, due to their nature or packaging, may soil or damage other shipments or postal equipment;
- Perishable food and other quickly perishable goods;
- Letter correspondence items that contain written messages or documents of a personal or ongoing correspondence nature exchanged between persons not indicated as the sender or recipient on the shipment;
- Explosive, flammable, radioactive, perishable, biological, or infectious substances;
- Items and substances prohibited for transport under medical or (aviation) transportation regulations;
- Animals, except for bees, leeches, and silkworm larvae;
- The postal operator has the right to impose additional content restrictions on shipments, provided these do not conflict with the requirements of the Universal Postal Convention and other regulatory acts.

* * * liquids in air mail are accepted only from known customers who have submitted safety data sheets (to be submitted in advance) for the products and said documents have been tested by the dangerous goods expert. The minimum safety Packing requirements for liquid/semi-liquid substances should also be observed.
Airlines may impose additional content restrictions.
Furthermore, each country’s specific requirements must be followed, as stipulated by its national legislation.
