Premium postal shipments

International Premium shipments are accepted in accordance with the Postal Regulations. All rules for international shipment packaging and addressing apply, as well as content restrictions and prohibitions.

Forwarding

When forwarding a Premium shipment, the packaging must ensure protection of the contents throughout the entire transport process and be safe — it must not damage other shipments or pose a risk to postal employees.

Proper shipment preparation

Parcel contents

Premium parcels may contain industrial goods, household items, cultural goods, and food products, provided that their export from Latvia and import into the destination country are not prohibited.

Insurance conditions

Premium shipments are insured only if the total value of the contents does not exceed: €34.15 for document shipments, or €147.98 for goods. If the shipment value exceeds either of these thresholds, the shipment is not insured.

Submitting a claim

Claims regarding the delivery of Premium shipments may be submitted within 4 months from the date of posting.

Please note that shipments are not delivered to overseas territories of countries.
