Conditions
Shipments containing lithium batteries can be sent via the Post if the battery power does not exceed the following limits:
- for rechargeable batteries - up to 100 Wh;
- for non-rechargeable batteries - up to 2 g of lithium metal.
The shipment must be handed over at post office/ customer centre in open packaging so that a specialist can ensure all safety requirements are met. The device or item must be new/unused and in the manufacturer’s original packaging. The Post does not accept devices containing lithium batteries that are used or damaged. Devices containing batteries must not be shipped together with other goods.
Packing requirements:
- safe and rigid packaging;
- equipment is packed in such a way that it does not move.
It is prohibited to send:
- Batteries that are not installed in a device (including spare batteries);
- Battery-powered items not accepted by the Post: power banks, light vehicles, musical greeting cards, electronic cigarettes, medium and large drones, and similar items;
- Items or substances whose import or circulation is prohibited in the destination countries.
