Addresses will change for two post offices in Cesis County

Currently, censors receive mail and payment services in person at Stacijas Square 5, but from 6 June the post office will be available at the shopping centre “Solo”, on J. Poruka Street 19. This will make access to face-to-face services particularly convenient for people with disabilities and strollers, as well as for motorists who will have access to a spacious parking lot.
At Cesis Post Office, customers will be able to receive the services they need every working day from noon. 8.00 to 18.00, and on Saturdays the post office hours will be longer than usual – from noon the
address of the post office of Vecpiebalga will also change between
9.00 and 15.00
. changes are also expected in Vecpiebalga, where until now the post office has been available to customers in the “aspen hole”, but as residents' habits changed and e-commerce developed, Latvijas Pasts sought more economically advantageous solutions to the premises.
In cooperation with the municipality of Cesis, Vecpiebalga Post Office will continue serving customers in newly renovated municipal premises in Norkalni 2. For customers, postal and payment services will be available on contemporary premises every working day from noon 8.00 to 13.30 The building is functional, also accessible to people with disabilities and parents with prams, and is also easy to access with vehicles.
In-person postal and payment services in Cesis municipality can also be obtained on Gauja Street 4, Jaunpiebalga; Rupnicas Street 8, on the lake; “Mail”, Augsligatne; Darza Street 6, Priekuli, and Braslas Street 1, Straupe.
Also, residents outside the centre of the region have access to the “Pasta at home” service free of charge. You can apply for a postman visit every working day by contacting the customer support team of Latvijas pasta on 27008001. For the convenience of residents, the services received by the postman can also be settled with a contactless payment card.
As e-commerce develops, more and more customers are assessing the benefits of receiving or sending mail in packages. They are available at any time of the day, moreover, in developing the wider network of parcels in Latvia, Latvian postal parcels are available not only in the largest cities, but also in the outermost regions. Residents of Cesis County are provided with parcels on J. Latvijas Pasts actively co-operates with local governments, jointly examining the possibilities to set up post offices in premises owned by local governments, thus creating a diverse range of services for residents. This model of cooperation has already been implemented in the districts of Saldus, South Kurzeme, Gulbene, Smiltens, Tukums, Aizkraukles, Jekabpils, Dobele, Awards, Kuldiga, Cesis, Kraslava, Limbazi and Madona.
