Payment Account

A payment account at a post office provides your company with an easy, safe and convenient way to:

• make transactions to legal entities' and individuals' accounts in post offices and credit institutions both in Latvia and abroad.
• deposit cash and withdraw it from your account
• pay bills for rent, utilities and other services

In order to open an account, submit the following articles at a post office:

• original and copy of the registration certificate of the company
• original and copy of the tax payer's certificate, in case the company is not registered in the commercial register
• original of a statement issued by the Register of Enterprises, listing the signatories of the company (the statement is valid for 30 days after the date of issue);
• passports and IDs of signatories of the company and copies of these documents.
• application for opening a PSS current account for a legal entity (PNS-002);
• two signature sample cards for a legal entity (PNS-003);
• customer's questionnaire.

The representative of the legal entity taking the documents to the post office must present his/her passport or ID.
 

A payment account is opened within 5 business days after the receipt of the documents. 

For your convenience, we offer using payment account services in several post offices. Select the post offices required and list them in an application to the post office, in which your company's payment account is opened.

As of December 1, 2018, Latvijas Pasts changes Money transfers rates, continuing to provide customers with one of the lowest commission payments in the country.

Changes in tariffs will be applied to Postal account system accounts deposit and withdrawal payments in cash, payments in accounts with a payment card, transfers to a credit institution in cash, domestic and international money transfers.

United service charge will be applied to cross-border money transfers regardless of the country:

A new functionality for Payment account owners - to get notifications about incoming and outgoing transactions in an account by receiving a text message on your mobile phone!

Application for a service is free of charge.  An application form can be completed in any post office.

The service fee of  EUR 0.09 (including VAT) for each text message shall be applied starting from the third text message. The services fee  is automatically withdrawn from the payment  account at the time of execution of the service.
