You can change the initial conditions of delivery and receipt of a postal item by submitting a relevant application at the post office.

Companies that have an agreement concluded with “Latvijas Pasts” are offered to include the fee for applications in their monthly fee.

Send a filled-in application to the Service department of “Latvijas Pasts” at Ziemelu Street 10, Riga International Airport, Marupe district, LV-1000 or to e-mail uznemumiem@pasts.lv, according to the laws and regulations on the preparation of electronic documents.

Changing the Address of a Registered Postal Item

An application may be submitted both by the sender and the addressee, if the person knows the number of the item.

The application shall include the following information:

  • the number of the postal item
  • the name of the company
  • the address, from which the item shall be redirected
  • the address, to which the item shall be redirected

For international postal items – if the country of residence of the addressee provides such a service (address list No. 1).

An application may be submitted both by the sender and the addressee.

The application shall include the following information:

  • the number of the postal item
  • the preferable time of delivery (according to the working hours of “Latvijas Pasts”)
  • the preferable address of delivery (if you want to change it)

Paid home delivery is provided only for domestic and international small packets weighing more than 500 grams, as well as for domestic and international parcels.

In case of other items (excluding M-bags), free delivery is ensured.

Searching for a Registered Item

An application may be submitted both by the sender and the addressee, if no more than 6 months have passed since submitting the postal item.

The application shall include the following information:

  • the date of submission
  • the sender and his/her address
  • the addressee and his/her address
  • the number of the postal item
  • the preferred action in case of finding the item

Attach the original receipt to the application.

Prolongation of the Storage Term of a Registered Postal Item

An application may be submitted both by the sender and the addressee, if the person knows the number of the item. You can prolong the storage term of an item for up to 2 months from the date of receipt at the post office. Cancellation (Returning) of a Registered Postal Item

An application may be submitted by the sender only.

The application shall include the following information:

  • the number of the postal item
  • the sender and his/her address
  • the addressee and his/her address

Cancellation is ensured, if the item has not been delivered to the recipient yet. For international postal items – if the country of residence of the addressee provides such a service.

For international postal items – if the country of residence of the addressee provides such a service (address list No. 2).
