Customers can acquaint themselves with all the issues that may be subscribed to at Latvijas Pasts on the website of Latvijas Pasts www.pasts.lv and at any post office. The free of charge Subscription Catalogue 2014 (Abonēšanas katalogs 2014.gadam) will be gradually delivered by Latvijas Pasts to its customers in all of the territory of Latvia over the coming two weeks.

Press can be subscribed to on the website www.abone.pasts.lv, at any post office of Latvijas Pasts in all the territory of the country, with postmen, as well as by calling the informative phone lines of Latvijas Pasts 67008001, 27008001, or by use of a special Subscription Application (Abonementa pieteikums) that is distributed together with the free of charge subscription catalogue.

Arnis Salnājs, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas Pasts, emphasises the most significant novelties for the population within the subscription campaign for the year 2014: "Due to the most important topical event for Latvia next year - the introduction of the euro - I would like to emphasise that Latvijas Pasts is an active participant and supporter of the campaign Honest Introducer of the Euro (Godīgs eiro ieviesējs). It means that the prices of services provided by our company, although expressed in the euros, will not be changed, and the favourite press issues will be delivered to you for the same prices as before. And, as usual, the principle remains the same - it is cheaper to subscribe to the printed issues than to buy them in retail outlets."

It will be possible to subscribe to the press issues for the year 2014 on the website of Latvijas Pasts, at post offices with an online connection and with the postman until 26th of December of this year, but subscription at other post offices or by the informative phone line will only be possible until 20th of December. It will be possible to subscribe to foreign press issues for the year 2014 on the website of Latvijas Pasts, at post offices with an online connection and with the postman until 15th of December of this year, but subscription at other post offices or by the informative phone line will only be possible until 12th of December. The Subscription Application, supplemented to the catalogue, shall be filled out by 01st of December and sent to Latvijas Pasts or submitted to any post office. The precise dates for the subscription can be seen in the Subscription Catalogue 2014 and on the website of Latvijas Pasts www.pasts.lv.

On the website of Latvijas Pasts www.abone.pasts.lv it is also possible for addressees in other countries to subscribe to the press issues included in the Subscription Catalogue 2014, - this special offer of Latvijas Pasts is effective for the third year already.

Latvijas Pasts offers several novelties and improvements in relation to the subscription system for the year 2014. The company has improved e-subscription possibilities: when performing a subscription for the year 2014 on the website of Latvijas Pasts www.abone.pasts.lv, the customer does not need to log into the system as had to be done in previous years. This solution enables the customer to subscribe to press issues more quickly and easily.

Another significant improvement by Latvijas Pasts to ensure that the customers feel more comfortable in the year 2014, will be a shorter period for the commencement of the delivery of press issues. When subscribing to press issues after 1st of January 2014, customers of Latvijas Pasts will receive subscribed issues that are published more often than once a month and that do not have only a full-month subscription, only two working days after the day of subscription - in 2012 and 2013 the delivery of subscribed issues was commenced after five working days. You can acquaint yourself with the issues to which the service Subscribe Today, Receive after Two Working Days is applied in the Subscription Catalogue 2014.

The tariffs for the delivery of press issues for the year 2014 will not be changed - Latvijas Pasts has maintained the same tariffs since 2009. Besides, Latvijas Pasts, as a participant of the campaign Honest Introducer of the Euro, has recalculated all the prices of press issues in compliance with the determined euro rate - 0.702804, observing the mathematical principles regarding round-up. To make things easier for customers, all prices related to subscription to press issues are indicated in the Subscription Catalogue 2014 in both lats and euros.

As with other years, Latvijas Pasts will also please its subscribers in the year 2014 with a special surprise - everyone who subscribes to press issues for the year 2014 at Latvijas Pasts will receive a discount for the purchase of a Janis Roze (Jānis Roze) bookshop customer card and for the purchase of discount vouchers at Janis Roze bookshops in the whole territory of Latvia. Customers who choose to subscribe by means of the Internet or phone will be sent discount vouchers by e-mail and mail.
