Most Latvijas Pasts post offices to be closed during Easter holidays

On April 18, 2014 - Good Friday and on April 20 and 21, 2014 - Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, almost all Latvijas Pasts post offices will be closed; only some offices in the largest shopping malls will be open, and some offices will have changes in their opening hours. On Saturday, April 19, all post offices will be working in accordance with the regular Saturday schedule.

Pensions and benefits to be received on April 14 and April 15 will be paid to customers on April 14, while April 15 will be the payout day for those customers whose pensions and benefits are scheduled for April 16 and April 17. Pensions and benefits to be received on April 18 and April 19 will be paid on April 16, and pensions and benefits scheduled for April 20 and April 21 will be paid on April 17.

Telegrams will not be delivered from April 18 through April 21. Newspapers and magazines will not be published during that period. Western Union money transfer services during the Easter holidays will be provided at most of the post offices that will be open.
