Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts recognized as best express mail service provider in 2013 among almost 200 competing countries

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts has been recognized as the best express mail service provider among almost 200 competing countries in the study carried out by the international audit and consulting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers on behalf of the Universal Postal Union's Express Mail Service (EMS) Cooperative. Eksprespasts has also received the gold level performance award for the quality of the delivery services. Of European countries, only the Hungarian postal company managed to rank in the top five express mail service operators.

In accordance with the study conducted by PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 2013 on the compliance with the service standards and quality of delivery in the 199 companies of the EMS Cooperative, Latvian Eksprespasts has received the highest recognition with regard to the speed of delivery, customer care and customer service quality. Eksprespasts delivers mail on time in 97% of all cases. As to customer communications, Eksprespasts has reached 100% in ensuring a timely response to all customer questions about the EMS shipments received in Latvia.

The second place in the PriceWaterhouseCoopers study was awarded to the express mail service of the Hungarian postal company and the third place was earned by the express mail service of South Korea. The express mail service of the Lithuanian postal operator was ranked 34th and the Estonian express mail service was ranked 39th.

The EMS Cooperative was created in 1998 within the framework of the Universal Postal Union. Its main objective is to promote cooperation between members to allow them to provide customers with a high quality, competitive express mail service worldwide. Express mail services are characterized by fast shipment processing and delivery, shipment tracking across all processing stages, as well as hand delivery of mail at the location specified by the customer.

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts provides convenient and fast express mail services both in the domestic and global market, while competing with the world's largest and most recognizable express mail companies. In some segments, Eksprespasts offers the most efficient service among similar service providers. Eksprespasts is able to ensure earlier delivery dates in the towns and cities of Latvian regions and collect money on behalf of the sender, when delivering shipments to the addressees. It should also be noted that in most areas of Latvia it is possible to pay the courier using a bank card.

In the similar study carried out by PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 2012, Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts was recognized as the second best express mail service provider worldwide and also earned the gold level performance award of the EMS Cooperative for the quality of the delivery services.
