Latvijas Pasts offers Twitter and Facebook account users to show appreciation for their mothers by sending special greeting cards for free for fourth consecutive year

As the second Sunday of May approaches, it's time to think of ways to celebrate this special day in Latvia - Mother's Day. Latvijas Pasts, for the fourth year in a row, offers all Twitter and Facebook account users to send greeting cards to their mothers, grandmothers, wives or girlfriends. All participants of the campaign will have the opportunity to show appreciation for their mothers by sending a special real postcard, which will be delivered by Latvijas Pasts at the indicated address within Latvia.

Registrations for sending the greeting cards start today, April 28, 2014. Twitter users should use their account to get registered on the website www.nosutipastkarti.lv, while Facebook users should visit the company's Facebook page www.facebook.com/latvijas.pasts. The users of these social networks are asked to choose one of the three available postcards with different designs and accurately fill out the required fields: the recipient's name and address. Latvijas Pasts will then deliver the duly completed greeting cards at the addresses indicated.

Participants of the campaign are also encouraged to say thank you to their mothers for the love, care and support or just for a delicious dinner and warm knitted socks, by filling the specified field on the website www.nosutipastkarti.lv or www.facebook.com/latvijas.pasts.

Every user of Twitter and Facebook may send up to three free greeting cards within Latvia over the campaign period. Since the response to postcard sending campaigns held by Latvijas Pasts is very strong, currently it is not possible to predict the exact closing time, but all Twitter and Facebook users will be informed in a timely manner.

The first postcard sending campaign held by Latvijas Pasts in 2011 attracted the attention of 4,867 Twitter users who filled out about 6,500 cards. In 2012, 5,883 Twitter users sent 8,500 cards within less than an hour and in 2013 it took 11,154 Twitter users less than six hours to fill out 15,000 cards, while 3,302 Facebook users filled out 5,000 cards within less than a day.

You can view the designs of the cards and send a postcard to your mom on www.nosutipastkarti.lv or www.facebook.com/latvijas.pasts.
