Only some Latvijas Pasts post offices in shopping malls to be open during Līgo holiday; all post offices to be closed on Jāņi day

On June 23, 2014 - the national Līgo holiday - most Latvijas Pasts post offices will be closed; only some offices in the largest shopping malls will be open, and some offices will have changes in their opening hours. On June 24,Jāņi day,all post offices will be closed.

Pensions and benefits to be received by customers at their place of residence on June 17 and June 18 will be delivered and paid on June 17, while June 18 will be the payout day for those customers whose pensions and benefits are scheduled for June 19 and June 20. Pensions and benefits to be received on June 21 and June 22 will be paid on June 19, and pensions and benefits scheduled for June 23 and June 24 will be paid on June 20.

Newspapers and magazines will not be published on June 23 and 24, Monday and Tuesday. Telegrams will not be delivered during that period. Western Union money transfer services during Līgo holiday on June 23 will be provided at most of the post offices that will be open.
