Post office at shopping center Spice in Riga to become sixth office upgraded to modern concept

As the premises of post office No. 25 at the shopping center Spice in Riga, which is located at 29 Lielirbes Street, are currently being upgraded to integrate the modern concept, Latvijas Pasts kindly asks its customers to use the services of other nearby offices from November 25 through November 27. The sixth modernized post office will open its doors to customers on November 28, providing postal services in an environment which is improved both function-wise and design-wise.

To provide more convenient services for customers and improved working conditions for employees, the premises of post office No. 25 at the shopping center Spice are being designed in accordance with the contemporary concept for post offices developed by Latvijas Pasts: a modern environment, transparent display of services and products, customer flow management system in compliance with the present-day service requirements and availability of commodities which are in demand at the particular post office. The modernized post office will open its doors to customers on November 28.

The customer flow at the upgraded Spice post office will be regulated by the modern waiting line management system Qminder, which allows the customers to take their ticket remotely by using a mobile application on their smartphone or tablet and get notified about the approximate waiting time, the queue progress and their turn when there are two people before them in the queue. Currently, this customer flow management system is used in seven offices of Latvijas Pasts: Rēzekne post office No. 1, the new Riga post office No. 28 opened at the State Revenue Service center this summer, Riga post office No. 17 at the shopping center Domina, Riga post office No. 22 at the shopping center Alfa, Riga post office No. 44, Valmiera post office No. 4. and Jelgava post office No. 5. In the long term, it is planned to implement this system at the largest post offices across the country.

Riga post office No. 25 at the shopping center Spice will be the sixth office designed to the modern concept of provision of postal services. So far, three upgraded post offices have been opened in Riga, one has been opened in Rēzekne and one more – in Jelgava.

As the upgrading work of Spice post office is underway, Latvijas Pasts kindly asks its customers to use the services of other offices which are located in the vicinity of Riga post office No. 25. These are Riga post office No. 46 at 48/50 Kalnciema Street (opening hours from 8 AM to 7 PM on weekdays and from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays; closed on Sundays); Riga post office No. 29 at 9 Ruses Street (opening hours from 8 AM to 7 PM on weekdays and from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays; closed on Sundays); and Riga post office No. 2 at 10 Bāriņu Street (opening hours from 8 AM to 7 PM on weekdays and from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays; closed on Sundays).
