Sjsc Latvijas Pasts offers new online service to make customs payments

SJSC Latvijas Pasts offers its customers a simplified procedure for the receipt of mail marked “Customs cargo” provided that the customer has made the customs payment using the new e-service developed by the State Revenue Service and available on the single state and local government portal www.latvija.lv: Customs Payments Online. 

By using this e-service, anyone can make an online payment of the customs duties calculated by the customs authorities and check the payment status. If a customs payment has been made through the single state and local government portal www.latvija.lv, the addressee or the person authorized by him or her can visit their postal service location of SJSC Latvijas Pasts to pick up the mail, bringing along the customs note, identity documents and notification.

At the same time, it should be recalled that it is still possible to make customs payments at a credit institution, via online banking, at a customs office or at the postal service location of SJSC Latvijas Pasts when collecting the mail.
