Vote for Most Beautiful Europa Stamp

PostEurop Association of European public postal operators holds the annual stamp design competition in search of the most beautiful Europa stamp. This year’s theme of the stamps is Old Toys.

On April 10, 2015, Latvijas Pasts also released two new stamps and a cover in the joint stamp series of the European countries dedicated to old toys. The new cover and the stamps Europa – Old Toys in the European series have been designed by Arta Ozola Jaunarāja. The denominations of the stamps are € 0.78 with a print run of 120,000 copies and € 1.71 with a print run of 100,000 copies. The stamps have been printed at Baltic Banknote printing house in Latvia.

Latvijas Pasts invites you to take part and vote for the stamps released in the series Old Toys. You can vote for your favorite entry on http://www.posteurop.org/europa2015. The competition will run until August 31, 2015 and the winning stamps will be announced and awarded at the PostEurop Plenary Assembly to be held on October 14, 2015 in Cyprus.

The originator of Europa postage stamps is PostEurop Association of European public postal operators, and stamps with a single logo and a common theme in this series have been issued throughout Europe since 1994. Latvijas Pasts traditionally releases two stamps in this series every year. In previous years, the themes of Europa postage stamps were related to literature, natural attractions, travel, postal transport, etc.

The cover with a special cancellation released by Latvijas Pasts can be viewed here.
