Latvijas Pasts continues negotiations with US Postal Service (USPS)

According to the information released by the USPS, the postal service provider in the United States (hereinafter the US), the USPS no longer publishes information on mail delivery status on the territory of the US. 

The US Postal Service has put 132 countries in a position where the sender has no access to the mail status on the territory of the US. Among these countries are 30 PostEurop member countries in Europe and their customers. 

PostEurop member countries where the customers are currently unable to track their shipments: Armenia, Austria, the Åland Islands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Guernsey, Greece, Georgia, Estonia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Montenegro, the Isle of Man, Moldova, Monaco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary and Vatican City.

We would like to emphasize that the publication of shipment data is voluntary action by the postal operator and no law declares it to be mandatory.

Latvijas Pasts has started and currently continues negotiations with the US postal operator to reach a mutual agreement on the publication of shipment data and plans to restore the service within the next two weeks.
