109,247 subscriptions processed during first month of Latvijas Pasts subscription campaign

On October 1, Latvijas Pasts launched its press subscription campaign for 2016. During the first month, 109,247 subscriptions were processed, which is by four thousand subscriptions more than in the same period last year.

During the first month of the subscription campaign, the most popular subscription channel out of several offered by Latvijas Pasts was the subscription service at the post offices, where almost 52% of all subscriptions were processed. Meanwhile, e-subscription service continues to gain popularity: compared to last year, the number of magazine and newspaper subscriptions made through the e-subscription service and over the phone has increased. Nearly 40% of subscriptions during the first month of the subscription campaign were made on the website www.abone.pasts.lv and by calling the company’s info lines 67008001 or 27008001.

The data for the first month of the subscription campaign show that customers prefer to subscribe to newspapers and magazines for a longer period: 88% of the current subscriptions are for 10 to 12 months, and this figure is slightly higher compared with the same period last year.

Just like other years, the most active press subscribers live in rural regions, where nearly 66% of all subscriptions have been processed. Most subscriptions are for magazines (70%), while the share of newspaper subscriptions is 30%.

Subscription to newspapers and magazines issued in Latvia for 2016 will run until December 28. The service is available through the dedicated website of Latvijas Pasts www.abone.pasts.lv, at post offices and from a postal worker. Subscription by calling the info lines or at intermediary offices will be open until December 18.

Subscription to newspapers and magazines issued abroad for 2016 is open until December 15 on the website www.abone.pasts.lv, at post offices and from a postal worker, and until December 12 by calling the info lines or at intermediary offices.

The Subscription Form enclosed with the catalog should be filled out and sent to Latvijas Pasts or dropped at any post office until December 1. A detailed subscription schedule is available on the website www.abone.pasts.lv or at the nearest post office.
