On November 20, Latvijas Pasts is opening the modern concept post office at the shopping mall Mols located at 46 Krasta Street, Riga. Riga post office No. 3 will now be situated on the ground floor of the shopping mall.
To provide more convenient services for customers and improved working conditions for employees, the premises of Riga post office No. 3 have been designed in accordance with the contemporary concept for post offices developed by Latvijas Pasts: a modern environment, transparent display of services and products, customer flow management system in compliance with the present-day service requirements and availability of commodities which are in demand at the particular post office.
Riga post office No. 3 will have three counters to serve the customers. This office will be open to customers from 10 AM to 9 PM every day. The phone number of Riga post office No. 3 is +371 67030340. The ZIP code of the office is LV-1003.
Since Latvijas Pasts has been actively engaged in improvement of environment accessibility, the needs of people with disabilities were taken into consideration when designing Riga post office No. 3, resulting in a construction of a cash desk with a low level section, thus providing easier accessibility for people in wheelchairs and ensuring better quality postal services. The post office is easily accessible for mothers with baby strollers and people in wheelchairs. There is also a screen installed, with its height adapted for the visually impaired.
The customer flow at Riga post office No. 3 will be regulated by the modern waiting line management system Qminder, which allows the customers to take their ticket remotely by using a mobile application on their smartphone or tablet and get notified about the approximate waiting time, the queue progress and their turn when there are two people before them in the queue.
The new customer flow management system is now used in 19 other offices of Latvijas Pasts: Rēzekne post office No. 1, Riga post office No. 13, Riga post office No. 69, Riga post office No. 44, Mārupe post office, Riga post office No. 21, Riga post office No. 63, Riga post office No. 15, Cēsis post office No. 2, Riga post office No. 28 at the State Revenue Service center, Riga post office No. 17 at the shopping mall Domina, Riga post office No. 22 at the shopping mall Alfa, Valmiera post office No. 4, Jelgava post office No. 5, Riga post office No. 25 at the shopping mall Spice, Riga post office No. 50 at the shopping mall Origo, Liepāja post office No. 7, Alūksne post office No. 1 and Valka post office No. 1. In the long term, it is planned to implement this system at the largest post offices across Latvia.
Riga post office No. 3 is a one-stop post office, which provides all postal services: selling print media, collection and dispatch of mail as well as retail, payment and philatelic services.
