To provide faster customer service and more efficient processing of mail during the most intense period of the year before Christmas and New Year, Latvijas Pasts has brought on additional staff who will deal specifically with the delivery of shipments. These changes have been made in the busiest post offices in Riga region and Latvian cities.
Having assessed the workload during the approach to the festive season and having taken regard of the customers’ shopping trends, when the amount of mail grows manifold, Latvijas Pasts has brought on additional staff resources in 37 of its post offices from 24 November. The additional staff available in the post offices listed below will ensure the collection of mail that does not need to be paid for on delivery (registered letters, small packages, as well as packages without any customs fees or postpaid charging).
