A total of 157,208 press subscriptions were processed during the first two months of Latvijas Pasts subscription campaign, and this is almost three thousand more subscriptions than in the same period last year.
Until December, the most popular subscription channel out of several offered by Latvijas Pasts was the subscription service at the post offices, where almost 50% of all subscriptions were processed. Meanwhile, e-subscription service continues to gain popularity: compared to last year, the number of magazine and newspaper subscriptions made through the e-subscription service and over the phone has increased. Nearly 40% of subscriptions during the two months of the subscription campaign were made on the website www.abone.pasts.lv and by calling the company’s info lines 67008001 or 27008001.
The data for the two months of the subscription campaign show that customers prefer to subscribe to newspapers and magazines for a longer period: 81% of the current subscriptions are for 10 to 12 months, and this 2% more compared with the same period last year.
The highest subscription activity is still observed in rural regions, where 67% of all subscriptions have been processed. The customers’ preferences regarding the type of print media they subscribe to remain unchanged: most subscriptions are for magazines (70% so far), while the share of newspaper subscriptions is 30%.
Latvijas Pasts launched its press subscription campaign for the next year on October 1. The Subscription Catalog presents a wide range of print media prepared by publishers for the subscription season 2016. The catalog also includes some nice surprises that the publishers have in store for the subscribers.
End of the year is traditionally the busiest time in post offices around the world; therefore, Latvijas Pasts would like to remind you that if you want to receive your favorite print media in early January 2016, please be sure to subscribe in a timely manner.
In order to receive newspapers and magazines issued in Latvia starting from early 2016, please remember to subscribe until December 28. The service is available through the dedicated website of Latvijas Pasts www.abone.pasts.lv, at post offices and from a postal worker. Subscription by calling the info lines or at intermediary offices will be open until December 18.
