416,353 subscriptions processed during Latvijas Pasts press subscription campaign 2016

A total of 416,353 press subscriptions have been processed at Latvijas Pasts during the subscription campaign 2016. Subscription activity in recent years has remained stable, and the customers who have subscribed to their favorite newspapers and magazines year after year continue with their trend this year as well. 

During the subscription campaign, which ran from October 1 to December 28, 2015, a total of 416,353 press subscriptions were processed. Almost one half – 43% – of all subscriptions for 2016 were processed at the 600 post offices of Latvijas Pasts throughout Latvia and using the services of a postal worker. At the same time, 26% of all subscriptions were made through the dedicated website and by calling the info lines. E-subscription service continues to gain popularity every year.

60% of all subscriptions are for magazines. When looking at the overall subscription periods, the trends remain unchanged: most (64%) of the subscriptions have been made for 10 to 12 months.

The highest subscription activity is still observed in rural regions (67% of all subscriptions); 13% of subscriptions have been made in Riga and other major cities of Latvia. 

Latvijas Pasts reminds that people can still make press subscriptions for 2016, choosing the most convenient way for them: at post offices, from a postal worker, through the dedicated website www.abone.pasts.lv or by calling info lines 27008001 or 67008001.
