Latvijas Pasts in collaboration with the newspaper Latvijas Avīze launches the contest My Postal Carrier: The Right Person in the Right Place (Mans pastnieks – Īstais cilvēks, īstajā vietā) in search of the postal carrier or post office operator from each region of Latvia who has been recognized as the most knowledgeable, accountable and reliable by the customers. The contest, which will run from March 7 to March 21, will also involve competition for the title of the most approachable postal carrier or post office operator.
Postal carriers and post office operators are Latvijas Pasts employees who communicate with the company’s customers on a daily basis through their helpful service in one of more than 600 post offices across Latvia or by delivering mail to any location throughout the country. Every job is a challenge and is worthy of respect; therefore, in appreciation of the efforts, sense of responsibility and professionalism of the postal carriers and post office operators, Latvijas Pasts in collaboration with the newspaper Latvijas Avīze calls for the people of the country to share their opinion on their favorite, most sincere and most approachable postal carrier or post office operator of the year through questionnaires or letters.
The contest My Postal Carrier: The Right Person in the Right Place aims at identifying and in April honoring the best postal carrier or post office operator in each region of Latvia: Riga, Kurzeme, Vidzeme, Zemgale and Latgale, as well as one postal carrier or post office operator who will be recognized as the most approachable postal service provider throughout Latvia.
The six postal carriers or post office operators with the highest assessment rates will receive valuable prizes worth EUR 100 from Latvijas Pasts. One gift certificate valued at EUR 50 for subscription to print media by Latvijas Avīze will be drawn among all those who will have sent in the questionnaires, and five authors of the best letters will also receive a gift certificate each. Besides, these lucky winners will receive a set of all the stamps released by Latvijas Pasts in 2015. The most heartwarming and fascinating stories will be published in the newspaper Latvijas Avīze.
The post-paid questionnaires for the contest My Postal Carrier that have been published in the newspaper Latvijas Avīze and magazines Mājas Viesis and Praktiskais Latvietis should be filled in and dropped in any Latvijas Pasts post box or dropped off at a post office by March 21, 2016. In turn, the inspiring stories as well as letters of thanks and appreciation for the postal carriers and post office operators should be sent in by March 21 and addressed to Latvijas Avīze newspaper office at 21 Dzirnavu Street, Riga, LV-1010 (marked for the contest My Postal Carrier).
