Interim Board of SJSC Latvijas Pasts commenced work

On Friday, April 22, the stockholder of SJSC Latvijas Pasts approved the Interim Board of SJSC Latvijas Pasts.

The Board has been appointed to ensure the succession and continuity of the company’s management. Since April 22, the duties of the Board have been temporarily taken over by the present employees of the company: Marcis Vilcāns, Head of the Express Mail Service Department of Latvijas Pasts, Kristaps Krūmiņš, Chief Economist, and Ilze Aleksandroviča, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, who previously served in the Board of SJSC Latvijas Pasts.

The Interim Board will operate until the Board of SJSC Latvijas Pasts nominated on a competitive basis has been approved.

The current main tasks of the Interim Board are to ensure continuity of the company’s operation, eliminate breaches detected during inspections and make preparations for the establishment of Latvijas Pasts Council.
