Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts ranked second best express mail service provider across Europe in international study

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts, which provides express mail services both in Latvia and abroad, ranked second best express mail service across Europe and seventh best worldwide in the international study carried out by the audit firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers. The activities of Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts were recognized with the gold level performance award by the Universal Postal Union’s Express Mail Service (EMS) Cooperative. That award was given only to express mail service providers of 11 countries out of a total of 201 countries competing.

The study was carried out in all the companies of the Universal Postal Union’s EMS Cooperative over 2015, assessing such quality indicators of express mail delivery as delivery time, data exchange, provision of prompt responses to international postal operators, shipment traceability throughout the process of delivery, timely communication with customers, etc. in a total of 201 countries.

The performance of Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts in regard to the mentioned criteria reaches from 97% to 100%, which was enough to secure the second place after Slovakia’s express mail company among the European express mail service providers. The high level of the services provided by Eksprespasts was recognized with the gold level performance award, which was given in the European region only to Great Britain, Hungary and Poland, besides Latvia and Slovakia. The award will be presented at the 26th Universal Postal Congress in Istanbul, Turkey on September 20, 2016.

“This reputable research reaffirms the ability of Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts to successfully compete with both Latvian and global express mail service providers. The efficiency of Eksprespasts is determined not only by the accurate fulfillment of the delivery criteria, but also servicing solutions tailored individually for each customer and services that are not offered by other companies, such as the option to settle payments in cash or with a payment card issued by a credit institution at the time when a domestic shipment is delivered,” says Mārcis Vilcāns, Chairman of the Board at Latvijas Pasts, who previously, until April 22, 2016, was the head of the company’s Express Mail Department.

The Universal Postal Union unites more than 190 member states, helping ensure a network of modern postal products and services worldwide. The regulations adopted at the congresses of the Union lay down the international provisions for mail exchange.

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts provides fast and high quality services of mail delivery from hand to hand around the world, including the delivery of business shipments in large volumes.
