Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts in cooperation with Baltic Post, a company of the Lithuanian postal operator Lietuvos Paštas, has expanded the options for receiving items and improved delivery speed across Lithuania. The items sent by Eksprespasts (express mail) can now also be addressed to any of the 80 parcel machines or 702 Lithuanian post offices. The new offer is particularly attractive to Latvian online shops which send goods from Latvia to their customers in Lithuania.
The items sent to 80 parcel machines across Lithuania will be delivered on the next working day, and the addressee will receive a text message on his or her mobile phone regarding the arrival of the item. The maximum weight of the items which can be delivered to the parcel terminals is 30 kilograms. In turn, the option to receive the items in the Lithuanian post offices is a convenient delivery method for the customers who use the services provided by a post office on a daily basis.
“The new service is convenient for companies which sell goods online in Latvia and send them to their customers in Lithuania. At the same time, the customers of these companies are now offered additional options for receiving their items,” Mārīte Bahromkina, representative of Eksprespasts Department of Latvijas Pasts, points out.

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts, which provides express mail services both in Latvia and abroad, ranked second best express mail service across Europe and seventh best worldwide in the international study carried out by the audit firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers. The activities of Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts were recognized with the gold level performance award by the Universal Postal Union’s Express Mail Service (EMS) Cooperative. That award was given only to express mail service providers of 11 countries out of a total of 201 countries competing.
