Latvijas Pasts and Mammamuntetiem.lv offer the opportunity to send free greeting postcards to dads via social networks

As the Father’s Day is approaching, for the second time Latvijas Pasts in collaboration with the Latvian parents’ organisation Mammamuntetiem.lv encourages everyone to send a free postcard to dads, granddads or godfathers, using one’s account on the social networks Facebook or Twitter. The postcards dedicated to dads are available in various designs starting from today, the 30th of August 2016, on the website nosutipastkarti.lv. The chosen cards will be delivered by Latvijas Pasts to all the addressees with accurate postal addresses within Latvia free of charge until the Father’s Day, which is traditionally celebrated on the second Sunday in September.

By logging in on the website nosutipastkarti.lv, which has been specially created for sending postcards, with one’s account set up on the social networks Facebook or Twitter, it is possible to choose a postcard from the four available designs. Provided that the required address fields are filled in accurately, Latvijas Pasts will make sure that the greeting card is delivered free of charge to the letter-box at the indicated address until the Father’s Day on the 11th of September. This year the holiday will be celebrated for the seventh time in Latvia. In this way it will be possible to send three postcards within Latvia.

The annual postcard sending campaigns to greet mothers have been held by Latvijas Pasts since 2011, while the opportunity to greet fathers in a similar way in collaboration with Mammamuntetiem.lv is offered for the second time. The response was very large during the first Father’s Day postcard sending campaign, and Latvijas Pasts delivered 15,000 greeting postcards to dads throughout Latvia.

Promoting the sending of postcards via social networks, Latvijas Pasts holds regular campaigns on social networks, encouraging everyone to send original postcards on the Mother’s Day, as well as printing out and delivering the most beautiful moments of the music festival Positivus or the Song Festival in the form of postcards. During the Mother’s Day postcard sending campaign in 2016 Latvijas Pasts delivered 30,000 greeting postcards dedicated to mums.
