In October 2016 Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts is starting cooperation with one of the largest online shops in Latvia 1A, ensuring deliveries to more than 550 item collection locations in Latvia and almost 800 locations in Lithuania. The cooperation is based not only on the widest delivery network offered by Latvijas Pasts in Latvia and in the neighbouring country, but also on the efficient system of data exchange, which allows for the transfer of information on the placed orders to Eksprespasts couriers as quickly as possible.
The couriers of Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts quickly deliver the goods ordered by the customers of 1A to any of the 500 post offices of the company or 59 Statoil petrol stations throughout Latvia at the option of a particular customer, while the items selected by the Lithuanian customers are delivered to any of the 702 post offices of the Lithuanian postal operator Lietuvos paštas or 80 parcel terminals. These services are used by both private persons and legal entities, and delivery is also possible for items of large volume and amount.
The unique delivery network offered by Latvijas Pasts and the fast Eksprespasts courier services allow for the expansion of the circle of customers who can enjoy the increasingly convenient and easy collection of the necessary goods close to home, the managers of 1A and Latvijas Pasts emphasise.
Member of the Board of 1A Mareks Zuika points out: “The important underlying condition for the rapid development of e-commerce is the convenience of the delivery model that it can offer. I am pleased that 1a.lv with the help of Latvijas Pasts has become even more accessible and convenient. Those who use cars or just busy people will appreciate the opportunity to receive their orders from 1a.lv along with buying their morning cup of coffee or refueling their car at a Statoil fuel station, without wasting time or money for collecting their order from elsewhere. In turn, the delivery of the goods from 1a.lv to one of the 550 Latvijas Pasts post offices allows us to be closer to our customers, while for the customers it means that they no longer have to be limited by the range of products offered by the local shops, because they can very quickly get the entire range of items available on 1a.lv at the nearest post office and thus treat themselves or their loved ones to the goods needed for household use and in everyday life, while making considerable savings compared to shopping in regular shops. We will continue working tirelessly to ensure the widest possible range of products, lower prices and even faster delivery!”
Chairman of the Board of Latvijas Pasts Mārcis Vilcāns has expressed his appreciation with the development of cooperation with one of the largest online shops 1A, emphasising the growing impact of e-commerce on the amount of items handled by Latvijas Pasts and the increasingly important integration of data exchange into various projects related to the provision of postal services. “Taking into account the rapidly expanding e-commerce environment and, consequently, the growth of express mail services that we provide, the cooperation with 1A is yet another significant step in the evolvement of the e-commerce segment of Latvijas Pasts both in qualitative and quantitative terms.
