Most subscriptions – 47.5% of the total number of subscriptions – were made at the post offices, although this share decreased by more than 4% in comparison to the same period last year. The customers are also actively using the e-subscription options, resulting in 38% of October’s subscriptions processed through the website www.abone.pasts.lv.

A total of 722 periodicals can be subscribed to at Latvijas Pasts for the year 2017, including 52 newspapers, 191 magazines and 57 regional periodicals issued in Latvia, as well as 422 foreign print media titles.

The free e-subscription option offered on the website www.abone.pasts.lv is particularly advantageous and convenient. A customer may subscribe to the chosen periodicals without registration in the system and by paying for them online, with no service charge.

Regular customers may find it more convenient to register their data in the subscription system, as they will not have to enter the required information again when making a subscription at a later time. Registered users will have faster access to updated information regarding the subscribed periodicals; besides, the e-subscription system provides the opportunity to review one’s previous subscriptions and related invoices. Subscription to the periodicals listed in the Subscription Catalogue 2017 through the website www.abone.pasts.lv is also available to customers abroad.

A total of 416,353 subscriptions to periodicals were processed during the three months of the subscription campaign for 2016.
