Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts starts delivering items from Membershop

In March 2015 Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts starts delivering items from Membershop, the largest online fashion shopping club in the Baltic States, to customers in Latvia. At the customer’s option the couriers of Eksprespasts can deliver the goods purchased in Membershop to the address specified, to a post office or to a Statoil (Circle-K) fuel station where the delivery of the items is provided.

Continuing active cooperation with the largest online shops in the Baltic States, Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts has also started delivering items from the Lithuania-based fashion shopping website Membershop to customers in Latvia as of March. The items can be received from the courier’s hand at the address specified as well as at any of almost 500 post offices or 59 Statoil (Circle-K) fuel stations where the item may be collected 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the time and place best suited for the customer.

The cooperation between Latvijas Pasts and Membershop is based on the essential benefits for both companies as regards e-commerce: a branched network for receiving items, fast and high quality deliveries, a wide range of products and convenient shopping. Marius Radavičius, Chairman of the Board of Membershop, points out: “By building cooperation with Latvijas Pasts, the largest distribution network in the country, we can offer our customers not only the best range of goods, but also the most ample opportunities for receiving the goods at the time and place most suited for them.”

In turn, Mārcis Vilcāns, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas Pasts, emphasises: “We have taken yet another step towards strengthening the competitiveness of Latvijas Pasts in the e-commerce segment by starting cooperation with Membershop, a recognised and influential sector player. On our part we will continue to improve the services offered to ensure maximum convenience for the customers.”

An important additional service for Membershop customers is also the opportunity offered to customers by Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts to pay for the item at the time of its receipt from the courier, thus enabling the buyer to make sure that the product chosen has actually been delivered and strengthening both the trader’s credibility and possibly the sales. It is planned that the cash on delivery collection for Membershop items will soon be available also in post offices and Statoil fuel stations.

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts provides fast and high quality services of item delivery from hand to hand in Latvia and to 58 countries worldwide, including the delivery of legal entities’ items in large volumes. In 2016 the amount of items handled by Eksprespasts increased by 65,000, while the number of express mail items delivered at Statoil fuel stations grew by 772%.
