Saturday opening hours extended in Pierīga post offices

Having analysed the customer flow in the post offices in Pierīga (Greater Riga area), Latvijas Pasts has taken a decision to extend the Saturday opening hours of the post offices in Ādaži, Kauguri, Salaspils and Sigulda. Starting from the 1^st of April 2017 the mentioned post offices will be open for an hour longer on Saturdays. As of March Sigulda post office is equipped with the modern In-Out customer flow management system, and this year it is expected to be installed in Kauguri post office as well.
 
To increase the customers’ convenience and provide more efficient customer service, Latvijas Pasts has improved the opening hours of the post offices in Ādaži, Kauguri, Salaspils and Sigulda as of the 1^st of April. From now on the mentioned post offices will be open from 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays. The change in the opening hours will allow the customers to receive the necessary postal services at a time most convenient for them on Saturdays.

To expand the customer service opportunities in regard to the available postal services, the multifunctional In-Out customer flow management system was introduced in Sigulda post office on the 3^rd of March. The system not only streamlines and facilitates the on-the-spot provision of services in the post office, but also allows for applying for postal services remotely using the Latvijas Pasts mobile app in the phone. Currently this system operates in 47 post offices that are most frequently visited by customers, and this year it is planned to introduce the system in another 20 post offices, including Kauguri post office.

The opportunity to apply for postal services remotely is available in both iOS and Android devices, and the app also allows for tracking a registered item and finding the nearest post office as well as its address, opening hours and postcode.

The opening hours have also been extended in the 27 largest and busiest post offices in Riga as of March 2017. A detailed list of all the post offices with the extended opening hours in Riga and Pierīga as of the 1st of March and the 1st of April 2017 can be viewed here.
