Multifunctional customer flow management system is now operating in 47 Latvijas Pasts post offices

Latvijas Pasts has improved the customer service in another 16 post offices by equipping them with the queuing ticket machines of the multifunctional In-Out customer flow control system. The modern customer management system has now been introduced in 47 Latvijas Pasts post offices. Continuing to improve the service, it is planned to install this system in another 20 post offices throughout Latvia until the end of 2017. The post offices equipped with the customer flow management system also provide for the opportunity to apply for the services remotely, using the Latvijas Pasts mobile app in the phone.

During the first three months of 2017 Latvijas Pasts carried out customer service improvements in another 16 post offices, equipping them with the In-Out customer flow management system: 11 of these post offices are located in Riga and Pierīga (Greater Riga area), while five of them are situated in Latvian regional cities – Dobele, Kuldīga, Kraslava, Limbaži and Ludza. Currently the multifunctional customer flow control system is operating in 47 post offices: 27 of them are located in Riga and Pierīga, seven – in Vidzeme, six – in Kurzeme, three – in Zemgale and four – in Latgale.

As part of the plan for further enhancement of the efficiency of the post offices, the In-Out system will be introduced in 20 more post offices throughout Latvia, resulting in a total of 67 post offices equipped with this system.

The modern queuing ticket machines of the customer flow management system regulate the movement of customers in the post offices, and they also provide the customers with the opportunity to apply for the services remotely, using the Latvijas Pasts mobile app in the phone. The app shows the number of customers who also want to use the particular service, which makes it possible to predict the waiting time. Besides, the app displays a reminder at the moment when there are three previous customers remaining in the queue, and it shows a notification when the customer’s turn in the queue has come up, specifying the servicing counter which must be approached to receive the required service.

The Latvijas Pasts mobile app not only offers the opportunity to apply for services in the post offices remotely, but also to track a registered item and find the nearest post office as well as its address, opening hours and postcode.
