Post offices in shopping centres will be open during the Easter holidays

Only some Latvijas Pasts post offices in the largest shopping centres will provide postal services during the Easter holidays of 2017 on the 14th, 16th and 17th of April. On Saturday, the 15th of April, all post offices will be working in accordance with the regular Saturday schedule. The customers who get their benefits and pensions granted by the State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) delivered to their place of residence through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts with the expected pay-out period from the 10th to the 17th of April will receive the money at an earlier date. 

Only some post offices in the largest shopping centres will be open during the public holidays: Good Friday on the 14th of April, Easter Sunday on the 16th of April and Easter Monday on the 17th of April. The list of the post offices to be open during the public holidays is available here. Detailed information on changes in the opening hours is also available on the spot in all post offices.

On Saturday, the 15th of April, all Latvijas Pasts post offices will be working in accordance with the regular Saturday schedule, except Jelgava post office No. 5 and Liepāja post office No. 7, which will be open from 10 AM to 7 PM.

Pensions and benefits granted by the VSAA that are to be received by the customers at their place of residence on the 10th and 11th of April will be delivered on the 10th of April; the 11th of April will be the pay-out day for those customers whose pensions and benefits are to be paid on the 12th and 13th of April. Pensions and benefits scheduled for the 14th and 15th of April will be delivered on the 12th of April, and those scheduled for the 16th and 17th of April will be paid on the 13th of April.

Western Union money transfer services during the Easter holidays will be provided at most of the post offices that will be open.
