Latvijas Pasts traditionally calls on social network users to greet their mothers by sending special holiday postcards free of charge

As the 14^th of May approaches, which is the day when Mother’s Day is celebrated in Latvia this year, Latvijas Pasts traditionally invites every user of social networks to send a special greeting postcard to their mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, wives or girlfriends free of charge. Latvijas Pasts will deliver all the postcards that will be accurately completed on the website www.nosutipastkarti.lv to the specified address within Latvia.

To send a greeting postcard, Facebook and Twitter users should log in with their account on the website www.nosutipastkarti.lv starting from today, the 24^th of April 2017. The users can choose from among the postcards of three different designs, and upon selecting one of the postcards for sending they should accurately fill in the following fields: the recipient’s given name, surname and address. Latvijas Pasts will deliver the properly completed greeting postcards to the specified addresses within Latvia free of charge.

Every user of Facebook and Twitter may send three free postcards during the campaign period. Since the response to postcard sending campaigns held by Latvijas Pasts is very strong, currently it is not possible to predict the exact closing time, but all Facebook and Twitter users will be informed in a timely manner.

The Mother’s Day postcard sending campaign, which takes place for the seventh time this year, is the first of the social network campaigns established by Latvijas Pasts and it has been held since 2011. The first postcard sending campaign held by Latvijas Pasts on Mother’s Day in 2011 saw the participation of 4,867 Twitter users who filled in about 6,500 postcards. In 2016 as many as 30,000 postcards were sent.
