In popularizing the postcard mailing tradition within the framework of the international project Postcrossing, Latvijas Pasts has issued a special personalized postal stamp, which will be presented during the Latvian postcrossers' meeting in the house of books and cultural goods NicePlace Mansards, at 21a K.Barona street (courtyard), Riga, today - the 1st of June 2017 - at 4 PM.
The exchange of postcards via the Internet site www.postcrossing.com allows people to find new pen friends around the world by both sending and receiving postcards. To promote the sending of postcards and present the latest developments in its activities, Latvijas Pasts traditionally brings together participants of the Postcrossing movement. This meeting will be special with specifically designed personalized stamp and two postcard designs dedicated to postcrossing, which every participant of this meeting will be able to send to other postcrossing participants in other countries.
The event will be held in an informal setting and will call on the postcrossers to share their experiences of sending the postcards. During the meeting, the graphologist Anita Millere will tell the attendees about her long-standing experience analyzing the connection between a person’s handwriting and his or her character; moreover, the participants will have a special opportunity to learn about what their own handwriting specifically tells about their personality. Besides, Ervins Ellins (Ervīns Elliņš), the winner of the new stamp design contest My Family – Superteam held by Latvijas Pasts, will talk about his participation in the contest, as well as the Postcrossing movement, for which he makes his own individual design postcards.

Anyone can design a personalized postage stamp by using the website www.manapastmarka.lv. Personalized postage stamp is an individually designed stamp with the visual design chosen by the customer, special technique is used and security requirements observed in its production.
