Latvijas Pasts and Mammamuntetiem.lv offer the opportunity to send free greeting postcards to dads

Following tradition, Latvijas Pasts in collaboration with the Latvian parents’ organisation Mammamuntetiem.lv encourages everyone to greet their dads, granddads or godfathers by sending a special postcard on Father’s Day. Starting today, August 28th, 2017 anyone can choose one of the three postcards in various designs by logging in on the website http://www.nosutipastkarti.lv/ through their Facebook or Twitter accounts. The chosen card will be delivered free of charge by Latvijas Pasts to all the addressees with accurate postal addresses within the territory of Latvia until Father’s Day, which is traditionally celebrated on the second Sunday in September.

By logging in on the specially-created website for sending postcards http://www.nosutipastkarti.lv/ through one’s account of the social networks Facebook or Twitter, it is possible to choose a postcard from the three available designs. Provided that the required address fields are filled in accurately, Latvijas Pasts will provide free delivery of the greeting cards to the indicated letter-box till Father’s Day on September 10, celebrated in Latvia already for the eighth consecutive year. It will be possible to send three postcards within Latvia this way.

By combining old traditions with the modern technological possibilities, Latvijas Pasts has organised the postcard sending campaigns on social media networks for several years now. The annual postcard sending campaigns to greet mothers have been held since 2011, while the opportunity to send greetings on Father's Day free of charge in collaboration with Mammamuntetiem.lv has been offered since 2014.

Both campaigns saw huge response: on Mother's Day of 2017 36,000 greeting cards will be sent to mothers all over Latvia, whereas fathers receive on average 15,000 greeting postcards.
