The number of press subscriptions processed through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts in October and November 2017 has increased by 10,696 subscriptions in comparison to the same period in 2016. Upon completion of the first two months of the subscription campaign of Latvijas Pasts, a total of 158,273 print media subscriptions have been processed. As many as 724 Latvian and foreign periodicals can still be subscribed to in the digital environment, in post offices and from postmen.
The number of press subscriptions made through the subscription website of Latvijas Pasts www.abone.pasts.lv, in post offices, from postmen and by calling the information line on +371 67008001 or +371 27008001 in October and November has increased by 7.25% in comparison to the same period last year. The growth of online subscriptions has been the most prominent, as their amount has increased by 11.8% compared to the first two months of the subscription campaign in 2016, accounting for 40% of the total share of subscriptions. 43% of press subscriptions have been processed in the post offices.
The tendencies of the two months of the subscription campaign also show that an increased number of customers choose to subscribe to press for a longer period of time: the amount of subscriptions for the period of 10 to 12 months has grown by 11.2% and accounts for 84% of the total share of subscriptions, while the amount of subscriptions for up to six months has dropped by approximately 17% and the amount of those for seven to nine months has decreased by nearly 4%.
Subscription to Latvian press for 2018 is available through the website www.abone.pasts.lv, in post offices and from postmen until the 27th of December, and by calling the information line of Latvijas Pasts on +371 67008001 or +371 27008001 – until the 18th of December. Foreign press can be subscribed to through the website of Latvijas Pasts, in post offices and from postmen until the 15th of December, and subscription by calling the information line is possible until the 12th of December.
There will still be the opportunity to subscribe to your favourite periodicals for 2018 at any time after the subscription campaign is over: the newspapers and magazines issued in Latvia during the relevant subscription period will be delivered in two business days if the publisher has provided for this possibility; other periodicals will be delivered from the beginning of each full month, and the time of receiving international print media will depend on the schedule set by the supplier and the specific subscription price period.
A total of 724 periodicals can now be subscribed to at Latvijas Pasts for the year 2018, including 51 newspapers, 193 magazines and 54 regional periodicals issued in Latvia, as well as 426 foreign print media titles.
