Some post offices in the shopping centres of the largest cities will be open on Līgo Day

Only some post offices in the shopping centres of the largest Latvian cities will be open on Līgo Day, the 23rd of June 2018. The 24th of June 2017, Jāņi Day, will be a day off for the employees of Latvijas Pasts. The customers who get their benefits and pensions granted by the State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) delivered to their place of residence through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts with the expected pay-out period during the Midsummer holidays will receive the money at an earlier date. 

On Līgo Day, the 23rd of June, postal services will be available in some post offices, whereas on Jāņi Day, the 24th of June, all post offices will be closed. A detailed list of the post offices to be open in Riga, Mārupe, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jēkabpils and Liepāja on the 23rd of June and their opening hours is available here

The monthly pensions and benefits granted by the VSAA that are to be received by the customers on the 23rd of June will be paid out on the 21st of June, and the 22nd of June will be the pay-out day for those customers whose scheduled payment date is the 24th of June.
