Some individual post offices will work in the shopping centres of the largest cities on the holiday after the Song Celebration

On Monday, July 9th, 2018, which happens to be a holiday after the Song and Dance Celebration of Latvia's centenary, some post offices will be working in the shopping centres of the largest cities. The clients who get their State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) benefits and pensions delivered to their place of residence through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts and whose pay out is scheduled from July 5th to July 9th will receive the money at an earlier date.

The day after the closing concert of the Song and Dance Celebration is the official holiday in the entire country. Postal services will be available on this day at some post offices in the shopping centres of the largest cities - a detailed list of the open post offices in Riga, Marupe, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jekabpils and Liepaja, as well as their opening hours is available here

The monthly VSAA pensions and benefits that are to be received by the customers on July 9th will be paid out on July 6th, but on July 5th they will be the pay-out to those clients whose scheduled payment dates are July 7th and 8th.  Conversely, on July 4th the pensions and benefits will be paid out to those clients whose scheduled payment dates are July 5th and 6th.
