Four post offices in Vidzeme are starting operations in new, modern and customer-friendlier premises this autumn

This autumn four Latvijas Pasts post offices in Vidzeme region are starting operations in new premises, which are modern and customer-friendly. Ranka post office of Gulbene municipality has been servicing its customers in new premises since the 4th of September 2018, while the post offices of Liepna parish in Alūksne municipality, Lubāna and Galgauska parish in Gulbene municipality will relocate to new premises in October. All these post offices will acquire not only new premises, but also a revised range of goods and stands with press and other items, providing more convenience and better access for customers. The opening hours of the post offices will remain unchanged and follow the current schedule of the provision of services.

To ensure a more suitable and friendly environment for customers and employees in addition to better services, Latvijas Pasts is implementing several projects aimed at improving the operations of its post offices. One of them is the provision of postal services in more convenient and accessible conditions. This autumn four post offices in Vidzeme are starting operations in new premises within such a project.

Since the 4th of September Ranka post office of Gulbene municipality has been servicing its customers in the new premises Krastkalni, providing all postal services and offering an improved range of goods.

Liepna parish post office in Alūksne municipality will start providing services in the new location Liepziedi on the 2nd of October. The new premises are situated in the centre of the parish, next to the parish administration building, and are easily reachable on foot, by public transport or by car. The post office provides easy access for new parents with baby strollers and people with restricted mobility. The post office will be operating in the new premises according to the current opening hours, while the range of goods offered here will be revised and renewed, making it more attractive and more interesting for the customers.

Lubāna post office will start work in the new premises at 5 Oskara Kalpaka Street in the city centre on the 10th of October, changing its location so as to be closer to other places of public interest and thus more accessible to its customers. Lubāna post office, which will now have spacious and comfortable premises, will be easier reachable by customers, regardless of whether they are pedestrians, public transport users or car drivers. It provides easy access for new parents with baby strollers and visitors with mobility impairments as well. Lubāna post office will also offer an improved range of goods, with a large part of them being placed in open-type stands, which will allow customers to choose the desired items more effectively. The working hours of the post office will remain unchanged.

In turn, Galgauska post office in Gulbene municipality will start its operations in the new premises Pagastnams on the 17th of October. The new premises are located in the public centre of Galgauska parish not far from the current location of the post office. Therefore, the post office is easily reachable for all visitors, including customers with baby strollers and wheelchairs. The range of goods provided in this post office will also be revised and given a fresh look, making the shelves with printed press and other products easier for customers to access. The opening hours of the post office will not be changed.

For two years Latvijas Pasts has been actively implementing projects aimed at improving customer convenience and environment in various post offices throughout Latvia.
