The new subscription season is open – 749 periodicals are available for subscription at Latvijas Pasts for 2019

The new press subscription season opens on the 1st of October 2018: Latvijas Pasts offers subscription to a total of 749 Latvian and foreign periodicals for 2019. Among them there are 104 newspapers and 186 magazines issued in Latvia. The most convenient way to subscribe to press is through the modernised website www.abone.pasts.lv, as well as in any of the post offices, from a postman or by calling the information lines of Latvijas Pasts on +371 67008001 or +371 27008001.

October traditionally marks the launch of the subscription campaign for the next year: Latvijas Pasts offers 749 magazine and newspaper titles for subscription for 2019, and this is more than last year, when 722 periodicals were available for subscription. Among them there are 290 newspapers and magazines issued in Latvia and 459 foreign periodicals.

Latvijas Pasts offers the most comprehensive range of press for subscription in one place, where everyone can choose engaging reading material for themselves, their friends or relatives for the next year. The experience of last year shows that interest in reading printed publications is growing. Therefore, we would like to recall that subscription to press is a valuable gift for any life occasion,” Mārcis Vilcāns, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas Pasts, points out.

The information on the range of titles offered for subscription by Latvijas Pasts is available on the e-subscription website of Latvijas Pasts www.abone.pasts.lv or in the Newspaper and Magazine Subscription Catalogue 2019 that is available in all 618 post offices and has been delivered to the letter-boxes of the customers who have subscribed to any periodicals through Latvijas Pasts during the last three years.

The e-subscription website www.abone.pasts.lv has become even more convenient for its users: along with changes in the visual design, it offers diversified opportunities of press selection criteria and a simplified subscription system, minimising the number of the steps before the payment for the subscription is requested. Using this website, subscription to periodicals is also available to addressees abroad.

Subscription to Latvian press is available from the 1st of October to the 26th of December through www.abone.pasts.lv, in all post offices and from a postman. From the 1st of October to the 18th of December newspapers and magazines issued in Latvia can also be subscribed to by calling the information lines of Latvijas Pasts on +371 67008001 or +371 27008001.

Foreign press can be subscribed to in any post office, from a postman or through www.abone.pasts.lv from the 1st of October to the 15th of December, and subscription by calling +371 67008001 or +371 27008001 is possible from the 1st of October to the 12th of December. Precise subscription deadlines are also given on www.abone.pasts.lv, and they can be checked in any post office.

A total of 412,684 press subscriptions were processed at Latvijas Pasts during the subscription campaign for 2018, which are almost 14,000 subscriptions more than for 2017.
