Latvijas Pasts calls on its customers to name each region’s best postman and post office operator for the eighth time

Latvijas Pasts has launched the traditional contest Mans Pastnieks (My Postman) for the eighth time to identify and pay tribute to the postman and the post office operator from each region of Latvia who has been recognised as the most approachable, communicative and helpful by the customers. The contest questionnaires can be filled in and submitted online on http://anketa.pasts.lv/, while post-paid questionnaires that should be filled in by hand and sent to Latvijas Pasts have been inserted into all the newspaper and magazine subscription catalogues for the next year delivered free of charge to the subscribers’ letter-boxes. The deadline for submitting the questionnaires is the 31st of January 2019.

Latvijas Pasts employs approximately 3,000 postmen and post office workers who serve the customers in over 600 post offices across Latvia. Our customers encounter these employees every day – thanks to them items are delivered to any place throughout the country to the letter-boxes of the addressees, by hand and to offices.

In order to evaluate the professional qualities of the postmen and post office workers – responsibility towards the work carried out, communication skills, helpfulness, accuracy and knowledge – Latvijas Pasts encourages its customers for the eighth time to fill in a questionnaire in order to single out the best postman and the post office operator from each region, thanking him or her for the good work.

The best postman and post office operator of 2018 will be identified within the contest My Postman in each region of Latvia: Riga, Kurzeme, Vidzeme, Zemgale and Latgale. The postmen and post office operators with the highest assessment rates given by the residents will receive valuable prizes worth EUR 100 from Latvijas Pasts.

At the beginning of October the questionnaires for the contest My Postman 2018 were sent out together with the free Newspaper and Magazine Subscription Catalogue 2019 of Latvijas Pasts, which was placed into the private letter-boxes of the customers. The filled questionnaires should be dropped in any Latvijas Pasts letter-box or dropped off at a post office by the 31st of January 2019. The questionnaires are post-paid. Latvijas Pasts has already received about 1,500 filled questionnaires from the customers.

The contest questionnaires may be filled in and sent online until the abovementioned deadline here

A total of 1,339 Latvijas Pasts postmen and post office operators were proposed for the best employee nomination within the contest My Postman 2017 organised by Latvijas Pasts and 7,000 customers’ questionnaires were received for them.
