Additional staff will work in 22 Latvijas Pasts post offices to provide faster services to customers in November

To provide more efficient services to customers and faster processing of postal services in November, Latvijas Pasts is increasing the amount of those post offices where additional staff has been brought in to ensure the delivery of items without delivery charges and where so-called fast pick-up counters have been set up. From November 1, 2018, they are operational in 21 largest and busiest post offices in Riga, Daugavpils, Dobele, and Rezekne, but starting November 15 - also in Bauska.

Starting November 1st, the fast pick-up counters are operating in 21 Riga, Daugavpils, Dobele and Rezekne post offices, whereas from November 15th such pick-up counter will operate in Bauska, too, thus providing faster delivery of items in 22 post offices in total. It is currently planned that the fast pick-up counters will operate until the end of the year, with the extended operational term in case of the necessity.

Using the fast pick-up counters, where no other services are available during the hours with the biggest influx of customers every workday, it is possible to receive registered letters, small packets and parcels not requiring the payment of the customs duty or cash-on-delivery charges.

A detailed list of the post offices with fast pick-up counters for the delivery of items and the opening hours of those counters is available here.

Analysing the current situation regarding the acceptance and delivery of items, the need for additional changes aimed at improving the customer service in the post offices also in December will be assessed.
