Some post offices will be open during the public holidays; pensions and benefits will be paid on an earlier date
On the 18th and 19th of November 2018, which are the public holidays, only some post offices in the largest shopping centres will provide services. On the day before the holiday, the 17th of November, the post offices will be working in accordance with the Saturday schedule. The pensions and benefits which are to be paid through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts on the dates during the holidays will be delivered on an earlier date.
 
On Sunday, the 18th of November, which is the Proclamation Day of the Republic of Latvia, and Monday, the 19th of November, which is a public holiday, postal services will be available in some post offices in the shopping centres of the largest cities. A detailed list of the post offices to be open in Riga, Mārupe, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jēkabpils and Liepāja and their opening hours is available here
 
Pensions and benefits to be received by customers at their place of residence on the 14th and 15th of November will be delivered and paid to them on the 14th of November; the 15th of November will be the payout day for those customers whose pensions and benefits are scheduled for the 16th and 17th of November, while pensions and benefits scheduled for the 18th and 19th of November will be paid on the 16th of November.
