Item deliveries to the USA are delayed due to limitations of airline freight capacity

Item deliveries to the USA are currently delayed due to the limitations of freight capacity of the airlines that are used to deliver post to the United States. In the search for alternatives to ensure deliveries, a possibility has been found to deliver small-sized express mail and class A items as a matter of priority; however, delivery agents have set volume restrictions on these items too. All items accepted for delivery to the USA will be sent with the first available flights. 

The end of the year is the busiest time for postal establishments and cargo shippers, as the amount of postal items significantly increases because of the year-end holidays and the rapid development of online commerce. The services of different airlines are used for deliveries of items outside Latvia, but as passenger traffic is also getting bigger at the end of the year, this year airline freight capacity for deliveries of all items to the USA has proven to be insufficient.

In these circumstances air carriers have, without prior notice, established a ban on the acceptance of postal items to the USA. Alternative delivery options are very limited, since practically all carriers find themselves in a similar situation at the end of the year. An arrangement on the delivery of small-sized express mail and class A items has been made possible to some extent. 

All shipments to the USA will be sent immediately with the first available flights.
