Only some post offices in the shopping centres of major cities will be open during the public holidays on the 24^th, 25^th, 26^th and 31^st of December. The Greeting House in the Dome Square will be open until the 31^st of December, and it will welcome visitors from 10 AM to 8 PM on Sunday through Thursday, from 10 AM to 10 PM on Friday and Saturday and from 10 AM to 1 PM on the last day of the year. Western Union money transfer services during the mentioned public holidays will be provided at most of the post offices that will be open.

 

All Latvijas Pasts post offices will be closed on the 1^st of January 2019, and on the 2^nd of January they will be working in accordance with the Wednesday schedule of each post office.

 

The last day for delivery of items before Christmas is the 21^st of December and for delivery before the turn of the year – the 28^th of December. 

 

Pensions and benefits to be received by customers at their place of residence on the 19^th and 20^th of December will be delivered and paid on the 19^th of December; the 20^th of December will be the payout day for those customers whose pensions and benefits are scheduled for the 21^st and 22^nd of December, while pensions and benefits scheduled for the 23^rd and 24^th of December will be paid on the 21^st of December.
