Latvijas Pasts customers donated over 12,000 euro for the Ziedot.lv campaign Fulfil a Child’s Dream

In 2018 customers donated over 12,000 euro at Latvijas Pasts post offices for the campaign Piepildi bērniņa sapni (Fulfil a Child’s Dream!), which is run by the charity organisation Ziedot.lv and aimed at providing assistance to children and adolescents with impaired mobility.

From the 1st of January to the 31st of January 2018 the customers of Latvijas Pasts throughout Latvia donated over 12,000 euro within the campaign Fulfil a Child’s Dream!, which is run by the organisation Ziedot.lv. The funds donated at the post offices will be sufficient to provide treatment and rehabilitation for 15 ill children and adolescents this year.

According to Mārcis Vilcāns, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas Pasts: “On behalf of Latvijas Pasts I would like to express my gratitude to each and every customer who participated in the Ziedot.lv charity campaign. We are extremely pleased that this support is continuous and that we have felt the involvement of Latvijas Pasts customers over several years. This has enabled us to jointly help several dozens of children across Latvia, enhancing the quality of life and providing the much-needed support to improve health.”

Rūta Dimanta, Manager of Ziedot.lv, points out: “Thanks to the responsiveness of Latvijas Pasts customers, 15 children will have the opportunity to receive early rehabilitation in 2019, which is one of the most effective ways to achieve the child’s development potential. Sincere thanks on behalf of the children and parents!”

The charity campaign Fulfil a Child’s Dream! offers assistance to children and adolescents with disabilities by providing regular and innovative rehabilitation that enables them to become more independent and integrate into the peer community.

The cooperation between Latvijas Pasts and Ziedot.lv in the collection of donations started at the end of 2013, and from that time until the end of 2018 more than 80,000 euro were donated at the post offices.
