Winners of the Latvijas Pasts Annual Press Subscription Award 2018 have been announced

Today, the 28th of February 2019, the winners of the Latvijas Pasts Annual Press Subscription Award 2018 have been announced in eight different nominations. The prize has been awarded based on the Latvijas Pasts summary and evaluation of the performance indicators of 2018 and the results of the press subscription campaign for 2019. 

Latvijas Pasts has established the Annual Press Subscription Award for the previous year’s results regarding press subscriptions in acknowledgement of successful cooperation with the print media publishers and creative teams. This is the first year that the award is going to be presented.

The Latvijas Pasts Annual Press Subscription Award has been bestowed in a total of eight different nominations. The publishing house Žurnāls Santa has received the award in the nomination The Publishing House with the Highest Number of Subscriptions Taken out for 2019; the weekly magazine Ieva has been recognised as The Most Subscribed to Publication in Latvian for 2019; the title of The Most Subscribed to Publication in Russian for 2019 has been given to the weekly newspaper MK Latvija; ADV Service has been named as The Publishing House with the Highest Percentage Increase in Subscribed to Publications for 2019; the weekly magazine Rīgas Viļņi+ has won in the nomination The Publication with the Highest Percentage Increase in Subscriptions for 2019; The Most Delivered Publication in 2018 is the daily newspaper Latvijas Avīze; The Most Subscribed to Publication for Children for 2019 is the magazine Ilustrētā Junioriem; and The Most Subscribed to Regional Publication for 2019 is the newspaper of Vidzeme municipalities Druva.

The results of the subscription campaign of Latvijas Pasts show that press subscriptions in recent years demonstrate not only a stable but even a slightly growing trend. Upon completion of the traditional subscription campaign, a total of 430,823 print media subscriptions were taken out for press deliveries by Latvijas Pasts in 2019, and this is by 18,139 subscriptions more than a year ago.
