On April 1st, 2019, Riga post office No. 79 will open its doors in new premises in Mezciems

Starting April 1st, 2019, Riga post office No. 79 will resume its work in new premises in Mezciems territory at Hipokrata iela 7, in shopping centre Beta. Due to reconstruction works at its former premises, from February 27th the post office No. 79 has been issuing postal items under an interim arrangement in the delivery point at Kveles iela 15, but from April 1st all the necessary postal services to the customers will again be provided in Mezciems.

After moving to the premises at Hipokrata iela 7, the consignments will not be issued at Kveles iela on March 29th, however, customers are urged to recover them already on April 1st at the new post office address. From April 1st, Riga post office No. 79 will serve its customers in the new premises according to the previous work schedule - every weekday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Like before, the new post office premises will also have two workplaces that will be equipped with modern cash register systems, electronic signature devices for receiving registered items and the latest generation payment card terminals, as well as the customer flow management system In-Out, which provides the opportunity to apply for the post office services remotely, using the mobile app of Latvijas Pasts.

The third post office workplace is meant for issuing the postal consignments.

Riga post office No. 79 plans to continue working permanently at Hipokrata iela 7 and not return to its former premises at Gailezera iela 8.
