On the 4th of April 2019 the forty-third post office in Riga is opening to customers: it will be Riga post office No. 33, which will be located in the new shopping centre Akropole at 257b Maskavas Street. The new post office will provide all kinds of postal services, except for the delivery of items, as the premises of the shopping centre are not functionally suited for this purpose.The post office will feature a modern design with an open space layout that will allow customers to conveniently view and purchase the necessary items, such as printed press, postcards and packaging for items.
The establishment of the new post office in Riga is connected with the estimated customer flow in the particular area. The postal code of the post office according to its numbering will be LV-1033.
It is planned that two new postal operator jobs will be created in the new post office and it will be equipped with modern cash register systems, electronic signature devices, payment card terminals of the latest generation and the In-Out customer flow management system, which enables the customers to apply for the services at the post office remotely using the mobile app of Latvijas Pasts.
The main function of the post office will be the provision of a full range of postal services in the premises featuring a modern and functional design with an open space layout, ensuring easy visibility and availability of goods on specially designed stands to customers, with emphasis on the mix of traditional postal items, such as postcards, printed press, various type of packaging for items, etc. Taking into account the work specifics of the shopping centre, the post office will not have the item delivery function.
According to the working hours of the shopping centre, the new Riga post office No. 33 will be open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM.
For three years Latvijas Pasts has been actively implementing projects aimed at improving customer convenience and environment in various post offices throughout Latvia.
